Easy Racer Recumbents

The first human powered vehicle to break 65 mph was raced by “Fast Freddy” in 1976. That original recumbent, designed by Easy Racers founder Gardner Martin, now resides in the Smithsonian.

Gardner took his gift for design and began developing a line of “bents” for people who desire an extremely comfortable and fast ride. Easy Racers was born in 1979 and since then has grown to impressive line of bents. The natural seating position provides the comfort you desire with no undue pressure on your wrists or crotch - that’s the “Easy” part! A long stable wheel base and a stiff strong frame provide great handling and speed - that’s the “Racers” part!

Recumbents have grown in popularity but none can compare to the ride of the original and still – in our opinion – the best! Now available in
